Beaufortain

On the trail

Loop around the Pierra Menta

The Pierra Menta passage
Clem Clem

Since I moved to the Alps, I discovered by chance the Pierra Menta by driving through the Cormet de Roselan a couple of years ago. A big square summit overlooking the Beaufortain.
It was the perfect opportunity this summer to explore the area and going around it!

Beaufortain is known for it's cheese, so I was excited to go to the source! We did come across plenty of cows, even on the path. :)

Day 2

New backpacks

Clem Clem

Last winter, I motivated myself to sew our next backpacks. The goal was to make them stronger and lighter than our previous backpacks that lived already a great life.
It was the first in real life test on a multi-day trip. Mission accomplished! Mine was a bit small and needed to resew some par that felt off.

Day 3

Last mountain pass of the day

Clem Clem

Alps are amazing but attract a lot of people like us. And during a 14th of July weekend (the national day of France), the path can become very crowded. Even by hiking at early hour and avoiding main routes, you have to take over quite often.
Thanks to our light gear, we were fast! A new and amazing feeling of struggling less than before.

Last day and extra loop

Clem Clem

Joined by the dawn of the previous day by a friend, we decided to go for a little loop.
